Ben & Jerry’s ice cream
It really shouldn’t come as a surprise anymore. We might be harder pressed to identify foods that do not contain glyphosate anymore.
The New York Times is reporting that the Organic Consumers Association has found glyphosate in 10 of 11 samples of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Levels in the ice cream were found to be well below the EPA limits. Chocolate Fudge Brownie had the highest levels registering 1.74 parts per billion.
The Organic Consumers Association is spearheading a campaign to pressure Ben & Jerry’s to go organic. The campaign is focusing on use of the #DirtyDairy hashtag. Ben & Jerry’s official twitter account is the number one result when searching the hashtag on twitter today.
